Cultural Dispositions: Ethnocentrism

Discrimination

This is the final step in the progression. Once stereotypes and prejudice are established the individual separates groups based on these differences. The differences between groups form the basis of giving privileges or exceptions to one group and creating barriers to another group. Discrimination justifies persecuting and demeaning others based on narrow parameters and rigid thoughts.

This would prevent someone from working on a GV team, or hindering their ability to work on a GV team. At this stage a GV team would be highly dysfunctional and members would need to be moved to another team or there would need to be a serious adjustment made by the discriminating member.
