Introduction

Welcome

Welcome to the Cultural Competencies Lessons! These lessons have been designed to support engineering students in preparing for the field that is becoming increasingly global. As students work on Global Virtual Teams, they will find these Principles of Global Virtual Teams (PGVT´s) to be useful.

How the Lessons Work

There are 10 lessons. Each lesson covers one PGVT. Within each lesson, you will find there content to read and view. As you engage in the lesson materials, you will notice that there are  "Reflections"  along the way. The purpose of the reflections is to help you make connections and internalize the concepts. At the conclusion of each lesson, you will take an  assessment . The assessment has been created to check your understanding of key concepts from the lesson. These are important take-aways to help improve your interactions with others from different cultures on Global Virtual Teams and in the global field of engineering.

Helps

Throughout the lessons there are works that are highlighted yellow . If you move your arrow/mouse over the yellow-highlighted word, you will see a definition or an image describing the highlighted word.
