Conclusion

As one examines standards, they become a place of trade offs. Instead of being able to build and create in a wide range of possibilities, standards may limit this creative nature. However, in a world of increasing information and globalization, standards ensure a level playing field for designers, manufacturers and consumers. It provides the opportunity for greater interaction while maintaining or improving levels of safety and quality.
