Lesson 6: Cultural Dispositions

Reflection

Before understanding where team members are on each of these dimensions discussed previously, it is good to understand where you are. Using a line like below for each dimension described on previous pages, place each descriptor of the continuum on each end of the line (i.e. Achievement on one end, Ascription on the other) and locate where you feel you are on the continuum. For the time dimension you may wish to use a triangle with past, present and future on each corner.




Once you have completed this you may wish to share your dimensions with an international partner to compare for similarities and differences. Remember a judgment should not be made as one being better than another, but merely different.
