A global virtual team is a team whose members consist of experts from different cultural backgrounds and who use a variety of technologies to work across locational, temporal, cultural and relational boundaries to accomplish a complex, specific task. The team is able to cross physical boundaries, political borders and cultural beliefs to allow members to work with each other in a positive, successful manner. Boundaries may be viewed as anything that separates the team. The global virtual team has two key parts, global and virtual.
